4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, funny, understated and relatively unknown 19 Nov 2011
Format:DVD
This was a great film about a father-son relationship and seen as a road film. It's about a son who hates his dad who is a hustler, and has put that part of himself and his family upbringing away and forgotten about it, but in doing so has locked up a part of himself and so his girlfriend knows nothing about him and his childhood; naturally when the dad shows up there is trouble. The film shows him opening up to himslef, his father and the girlfriend. A great film that I really enjoyed. The ending was a little to fast for my taste but having said that it was a nice ending. Highly recommended if you like indepoendent whimsical and interesting films.

Lovely to see Christopher Walken as the central character for once. I really enjoyed this bitter-sweet road movie.
