Product Description

Product Description

From the internationally bestselling author of Fat, Forty and Fired this funny, thought-provoking memoir will make you laugh - and want to make the most of your life.

Are you slogging your guts out at a job you don't particularly like to buy things you don't particularly need? Would you like to spend more time with your family and less time at work? Do you ever wonder what it'd be like to really love what you do?

Ten years on from Fat, Forty and Fired, Nigel Marsh steps off the hamster wheel (again) to grapple with these and other less weighty questions, like: Where the hell has my wife left the cordless phone? and How do I dress my daughter as a bridge for school in ten minutes?

Written with Nigel's customary humour and honesty, Fit, Fifty and Fired Up is a must-read for anyone who's ever dreamt of taking a risk to live a life they feel passionate about...

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and profound 15 Aug 2012
By chill
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read this book in one day, which is rare for me, and it was a pleasure from start to end. Full of observations that ring true, the author isn't afraid to open his heart here which makes the stories, life plans and observations hit home. There's so much here but personally I really identified with the dieting, working from home, giving up booze, juggling a large family and running episodes. Laughed out loud a number if times and now my wife is reading it so we'll see what she thinks.

By the way this is worth reading just for the 6 criteria for a successful long term business - profound. But there's so much more here than that.

Was somewhat encouraging, especially for the bloke around me. Would have expected more funny elements added to make it more of a lighter read.

Yes I love this book ( and Nigel come to think of it). it will make you laugh, cry but more importantly think. I think the world and this constant "Growth" is not sustainable, Nigel helps you to be happy...
