Anna has established herself as a leading author in the field of eating disorders and combines her personal experiences with an extensive research interest. Her two previous books published by Lucky Duck were winner and special commendation in the NASEN/TES book awards and we expect this publication to be equally well received.
It would be a mistake to think that eating and body image problems are experienced only by women. Anna draws the readers attention to the characteristic and special difficulties for men, including:
" athletics, body building and eating
" depression and self-esteem
" eating disorders and homosexuality.
Like all her books she offers a comprehensive overview and contributes information, advice and hope. This is a book for those affected and those who want to help them.

Informative and very useful,
This review is from: Fit to Die: Men and Eating Disorders (Lucky Duck Books) (Paperback)
I was very pleased to see such an accessable book about a much misunderstood area. Men and eating disorders has not been written about in much detail so far and I myself know a sufferer who feels ashamed to even admit to having the disorder. The book deals well with the increasing pressure that men have come under recently and the growing problems of men and body image. I was particularly impressed with the coverage of 'bigarexia', which I have only recently become aware of. Practical and friendly (without being patronising) I learned a great deal from this book and found it to be extremely helpful.

Anna Paterson,
By Melissa D. Brown - Published on Amazon U.S.
This review is from: Fit to Die: Men and Eating Disorders (Lucky Duck Books) (Paperback)
I was interested in buying this book as I own three of her others.I think well of her as she has managed to recover and always seems to offer supportive advice for anorexic sufferers and their families.
