Pruning is an essential part of keeping plants healthy. Regular pruning of dead and diseased parts of a plant reduces the risk of disease and also makes them more resistant to storm damage, especially trees. Pruning also helps to keep plants to a convenient size to grow comfortably in confined areas as well as to determine their shape. Fiskars PowerStep Anvil Pruner has a unique mechanism which increases cutting power by allowing the force of the cut to be distributed between 1 to 3 steps. This revolutionary system prevents straining to cut though thick, hard wood in one cut but instead lessens the force needed, and can make three easy cuts.
PowerStep distributes the force of the cut in up to three steps to create an easier, cleaner cut which triples maximum cutting power and so will cut up to 24mm diameter. The step system works as instead of using maximum force to cut through an object, the system can create up to three separate cuts that are a fraction of the force needed to make one, whilst still producing a neat clean cut.
PTFE coated blades designed to cause less friction and faster easier cuts and its sleek design constructed from fibreglass reinforced polyamide makes cutting become easy and light. Which means the PowerStep Anvil Pruner would not be easily broken, to give the tool an even longer life; the blades are replaceable, with no tools needed. The SoftGrip handles make for extra comfort, suitable for both right and left handed and with a helpful locking mechanism safety feature for easy transportation and storage.
Due to the design of the anvil blades the PowerStep pruner will cut through dry and dead wood with its ease, which is important for keeping your garden neat and tidy with productive flourishing plant life.
The PowerStep technology combined with its anvil head especially suited to dry hard wood allows gardeners to cut branches in 1, 2 or 3 steps, the tool autonomously selects the gradual option according to the thickness of the branch to be cut. Which combined with the PTFE coated upper blade this minimises effort required to make even the thickest of cuts making for a more relaxing gardening experience.
