Not effective enough

I have just tried some embossing using this tool with the Fiskars embossing plates and I was disappointed at the lack of coverage this product provides. When ordering, I did not pay attention to the product dimension and it is quite small. Since it is so small, I estimate that by the time I emboss the background of a scrapbook page, my hand would be cramped up from gripping the tool. The three little silver balls on the tip are not precise enough to sufficiently get into the grooves of a lot of the designs on the embossing plates. It ends up being just a little bit of a softer embossing job. Also, there is an added texturing to the finished embossed area due to the circular motion of going over and over the embossing plates to fully emboss the image. I tried an embossing stylus and it worked much better for precise embossing. So, I am still going to do more work with this product, but I am considering returning it and sticking with a stylus. It was a good attempt at a product to do embossing over a large area, but it doesn't quite get the job done with quality.

I was a little disappointed at the lack of depth the tool provides in embossing with Fiskars embossing plates. Nevertheless, I will use it for soft embossing and use the stylus for additional depth. I have to agree with the other reviewer that "It was a good attempt at a product to do embossing over a large area, but it doesn't quite get the job done with quality."

It's a fine addition to my pen stylus for embossing/rubbing. My son (small kid with weak grasp) can use it for his rubbing plates. The 3 metal balls roll pretty easily
