Colour Name: Matte Black
It's difficult to get excited about a pen but this is one cool little toy. I've been searching for years for a pen whose ink doesn't smudge (I'm a lefty and hold the pen at a weird angle) and I've finally found it.

As well as writing in space and all that nonsense the exotic ink in the fisher space pens actually dries really quickly, writes a nice, solid and very neat line and is just a dream to use.

The pens is really small, its the size of my pinky but when you take the cap off and mount it on the tail the pen becomes much bigger and rests very comfortably in the hand.

I use it everyday at work and have to write pages and pages at a time and experience little fatigue with this pen. The matte black has a superb finish, very smooth and tactile yet doesn't slip from your grasp.

The ink is quoted as lasting 100 years, you can put this thing through the washing machine and it won't leak. Basically this pen will outliast you, the only danger is losing the thing as it is so tiny.

I liked it so much I have a ordered my wife in the crazy pink colour.

Invest in this pen and be impressed.

Now this is a very nice pen and i'm having to stop myself ordering more as they could be quite collectable, I bought the matte black one and you know when you use it that its gonna be around for a long time (unless some jealous sod pinches it on you) nice little gift idea and i'm just about to order another one now.

Colour Name: Chrome with Clip
This pen is fantastic. Be warned that it is only about 9.5cm long when in the closed position, so it is quite small (personally I like this so I can easily put it in my pocket).

When you remove the lid and put it on the end of the pen, the length is extended to about 13.5cm and it then rests delightfully in the hand for writing.

It's beautiful to handle. Just taking the top off and putting it back on again is addictive!
The end of the pen is milled to provide a little extra grip between your fingers.

So long as you are not put off by its (closed) small size, this is lovely pen.

Colour Name: Metallic
The Fisher Bullet Space Pen is a classic design, and perfect for a pocket. However, the regular chrome model tend to lose its coating after extended use, and other colours aren't much better. The titanium nitride coating of this model seems to much more durable. My other Space pens have all eventually become worn, with brass showing through the coating, either from friction with the cap against the barrel, or from the pen hitting other objects in my pocket. However, I have owned this model for two years and it shows no sign of wear. The cap fits smoothly over the back of the pen (unlike the black models where the fit is less certain). This model and the all-aluminium telescoping Space Pen are well worth the extra money. The cartridges are the standard Fisher style, and come in a wide range of widths and colours. As another reviewer noted, you occasionally get a dud with the pressurized cartridges, but overall it is a real workhorse of a pen.

Colour Name: Lacquered Brass
I couldn't decide between this and the silver chrome version so I bought both! The gold one has a more classic look to it, and the engraved rings around the barrel add a touch of class. These rings are not on the silver chrome version which has a smooth barrel but looks more modern and high tech. Both pens are the same price. Beautifully engineered and writes perfectly.

Not as good as the silver one that this replaced. Feels a bit flimsy and the top does not fit that smugly.

Update
After using this for six months the 'brass' has now worn to a rather dull unattractive surface ( I suppose the term 'Gold coloured brass' should have given me a clue). If this is indeed a genuine Fisher Space Pen then their standards are falling... Would now only award one star......

It seems strange getting excited about a pen, but pens are huge source of annoyance for me. I work in an Ice Rink and normal ball point pens don't cut it. They some how manage to turn upside down in my pocket which is a problem for most pens, and then there's the cold temperature, the ink doesn't flow. I find my self constantly trying to get pens to write. Yes I could use a pencil, but when the grade books require blue or black ink, a pencil won't do.
This with it pressurized cartridge and an operational working temperature of -20C, this has proved flawless, and I would definitely recommend it.
