5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful, informative 16 Feb 2013

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
After reading a short booklet by the Eureka partnership I decided I would like to learn more on the subject and found this title in Amazon. It arrived this morning and I looked through it, stopping in the centre at a photograph and later found I had read a great deal about the families in the canal basin instead of getting on with preparation for some expected guests. I cannot wait to read the information properly from start to finish. The author's style is informative and she is a learned person on the subject, but writes so interestingly you do not feel you are "being educated" as it were. I purchased this book to find out more yet it comes across as an educated "Coronation street" when she deals with the boat dwelling families and their lives.
