Manufacturer's Description

The adults of LazyTown love to lounge and find inactivity invigorating, while the LazyTown kids are full of energy – thanks to the efforts of Sportacus, an athletic superhero who shows them how great being active can be.

Stephanie-, an optimistic 8-year-old with bright pink hair, comes to live in LazyTown and meets a zany mix of townspeople including the world’s laziest super-villain, Robbie Rotten. Fortunately for Stephanie, LazyTown is also under the watchful eye of Sportacus- an athletic, super-fit, slightly-above-average super hero, who runs, jumps, flips and flies in his incredibly futuristic Airship to help the inhabitants of LazyTown battle Robbie’s latest lazy schemes. LazyTown aims to INSPIRE and MOTIVATE kids to get them to make healthy choices in their lives.

4.0 out of 5 stars I've got Sportacus in my front room!, 16 Aug 2006
By Janet Mcnamara "Janet" (Leigh-on-Sea) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Bought this for my son who is almost five years old. He has hardly taken it off since he got it and is leaping about my front room trying one arm push ups as I write. I would say that my first impression was that the vest and cap were of poor quality but the rest of the outfit is fairly good. The vest in particular has a very chunky and heavy "crystal" that can be set to play music or phrases from the show. Be warned, this outfit will fit a five year old but probably not a child any older. Despite the shortcomings my son loves it and is the envy of his lazytown loving friends so I'm going to be buying some more for Christmas presents - hence the four star rating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Talk of the Town!!, 22 Sep 2006
By Ms. Deborah Price "Deborah" (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
We received this Sportacus set yesterday, so of course, my little one (who is three) wanted to wear it immediately. Out and about town we certainly got a few stares and a few "WOOOAAHHH's" from other little boy's who looked on in envy!

The set is cute and is good quality although the arm bands fall off as soon as he moves so we celetape them on his arms (over long sleeved t-shirts).. this holds them on no problem. The hat has compartments either side to poke the glasses arms through to hold them securely on this head which I thought was needed.

All we need now is the Spaceship because my boy is confused as to why he is still living with us in a normal house now he's Sportacus!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not very well designed but a kid pleaser. , 31 Dec 2006

Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
Was difficult to know how many stars to give this as when we saw this before giving it to my 3 yr old son, we were pretty disappointed . It looks very authentic and to be fair the hat is great, fits well and easy for him to put on himself. The vest part is made of felt and looks very flimsy and the crytal part is quite a large lump of plastic velcroed to the front of it. When we first tried it on him, he was very frustrated as the armbands wouldn;t stay on his arms even for a minute. We tried the taping them on hint that I read here but tbh they were more trouble than worth so we have spirited them away to a draw and he has forgotten about them. The set comes with 10 or so stick on moustaches which we didnt bother with either as I thought they would irritate him. There is a plastic pair of glasses that fit onto the hat, these were also quite flimsy and have had to be fixed 2 or 3 times. I wish they had just fixed these onto the hat and not made them removeable as they keep falling off the hat and getting lost etc. There is also a belt buckle which we don;t put on him unless he remembers as you can't really see it and is tight to fit on. Looks like a really moany review but have still given it 4 stars as my son loves it soo much. Is the most popular present he has ever got and if he hadn't got anything else for christmas he would have been thrilled. He has worn it every day for the last week and we have to peel it off him at bedtime. He loves the crystal which has a couple of lazytown songs, just music and sound bites of sportacus saying various sportacussy things "Someone's in trouble". I am worrying about how we are going to wash it with it being so flimsy but if you have a real lazytown fan then I would go for it.
