    3.0 out of 5 stars cute, but a disappointment, 13 Aug 2006
By K. P. Brown (Teddington, UK) - See all my reviews
    (REAL NAME)
It certainly is pink, and easy to handle even for our 2 year old. However, tough it is not. Buttons seem to get jammed really easily; it switches itself off and on at random (not good when it uses 4 x AA at a time); and sometimes takes so long to start up that an adult, never mind our 2, 4 or six year old has got bored; and the thing they desperately wanted to photograph has gone. We haven't tried printing yet, but downloading to the computer is really simple (hence 3 stars not just one) and they have loved e-mailing them to friends and family. I wish I'd been able to read some reviews before we bought it, and we may have had second thoughts.

1.0 out of 5 stars More than disappointed, 8 Aug 2006
Before i start i don't give this product one star - i had to give it a rating above 0. So please note my personal rating is 0.

I thought i'd buy my daughter a camera for her birthday; for the past few months she's been running around taking pictures with my camera and i could see her dropping it. So after a little research this FisherPrice one popped up. Now i'd personally rate fisherprice as good for Kids toys. Well, to say I am disappointed would be an understatement. The image quality of this camera is poor to say the least. Now, I wasn't expecting David Bailey quality, my daughters only 5 - I just expected something acceptable, something where I could print her photos.

The images this product produces are far worse than cameras I had more than 5 years ago, and cost a fraction of the price.

My daughters first image were blurred and the white balance was terrible. I thought I'd have a go - nope still terrible. Even taking a picture of static object will product a blur, so don't try something moving.

The LCD view finder is little more than an excuse - I'm not sure I've ever seen such a poor LCD display. It reminds me of those rulers that when you move the angle you view it from the picture changes.

I was also a little disappointed at the image size, 640x480 - not good, i should have read the spec a little better.

Regarding the build, at least fisher price managed to make it feel robust. However, read the instructions and don't drop on a hard surface, don't splash, don't get dirty - so how is this a Kids camera?

I'd have been better buying a cheap digital online and just replacing it when it was bust.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this excuse for a camera..., 29 Dec 2007

Got my little girl it for xmas and its utter rubbish, it seems a good idea and looks like it would be executed quite well, but in reality its just rubbish. I may as well have given here a throw away one every week.
The picture quality is to say the least worthless, you couldn't print them at all and not even worth looking at on the pc... Its not a cheap thing but my very first 1mp digital camera was far far far better & this was years ago.
You can buy a 3mp cam from ebuyer for £25 and teach them to be carefull. This as a camera is pointless, I've just told her to pretend, and I could have done that with an old camera.
    Not happy.
