We got this the day before our baby's one month birthday. Baby will sleep okay in her moses basket at night, but during the day she will only sleep if lying in her mummy's arms, which is rather tiring for mummy! Admittedly she would actually sleep in anyone's arms, but as we have no family who can come round and hold her for a bit and her daddy is at work all day, this bouncer is proving very useful so far as I (her mummy) have been able to pop her in the bouncer and amazingly, the vibrations do actually soothe her (I did not believe they would make any difference whatsoever) and she has gone to sleep. I turned off the vibrations once she was asleep, she started wriggling and waking up so I turned them back on... and she is asleep again! While I wouldn't suggest leaving a young baby in a bouncer for too long as I presume there are issues similar to leaving them in a car seat for a long time (i.e. it is not very good for their backs) I am hoping this will give me time to actually a) eat my lunch and b) tidy the kitchen! Would definitely recommend it. The rocking action is good too when on a hard surface but on carpet it does require that someone actually continuously rocks the baby (well, with a baby as young as ours, as her movements don't move it on carpet).
