Remembering how I had to constantly rock my daughter manually, the first thing I wanted her to have for her baby was one of these swings. So, after MUCH research, I decided on the Fisher-Price and we are all VERY pleased. It works like a charm! It's well made, the music is pleasant and the seat cushion is quite soft. The lowest speed is a little fast but my granddaughter doesn't seem to mind. Definitely a worthwhile purchase. My next one will be the jumperoo... anything to make my little girls happy.
I bought this to keep at Grandma's house and it is fantastic. My son loves sitting in it and will happily sit and play watching the animals above, or sleep in it. The water sound effect is great for colic, and because it's tall it means my mum doesn't have to bend down too far to get him in and out. We took this to his christening party so he could sleep in it and everybody could see him without him being passed around the room whoch he hates, really useful.
The only thing I would say is that it's quite fast and clunky and upright for a newborn-3 months. My son is quite big so he was ok in it from about 6 weeks but before that he found it a bit scary. I also bought the Bright starts harmony swing which he loved in the early weeks but has now grown out of.

The perfect helper for you and your bundle of joy! I used to have an older one, that wouldn't fold, and it always got in the way. My house is not really that big, so finding a place to store it became problematic. After I gave it away I was really keen on finding one that can fold flat. If your baby is as restless as mine is and permanently needs to be held and like to be rocked, then this swing is perfect because the six speeds allow you to find just the right one that either puts him to sleep or simply pacifies him.
The songs are also a nice addition!
The material is very pleasant and the seat is soft and cozy, with a lovely design, and the attached plastic toys also keep him busy and entertain him. At first I thought that their being permanently attached was a bad idea, but then again, it's better this way, so that he doesn't take them off by himself, by tugging on them.
The pad is washable, so if at any point it gets to messy, you don't have to worry about it. Simply remove and wash.
It feels like I have an extension of myself in this swing, since it soothes him so well and really gives me a chance to relax my hands and cook or take care of other things. And whenever I'm done using it, it's very easy to fold and store.
