5.0 out of 5 stars A classic story from the baby boomers era 9 May 2000
Format:Paperback
My wife read this classic book when she was a child in the 60's. Our daughter Eleanor loves the illustrations, and the story of Otto the fish has quickly helped her grasp the concept of bigger and smaller. The illustrations really help to prompt the narrator (Daddy)to add sound effects beyond the written word. A must for pre-school children.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for all pre-schoolers 18 Sep 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I owned this book as a child and loved the story and illustrations of Otto the fish. Simple language, some rhyming lines and a story that builds has stayed with me into my mid-thirties. I am thrilled to be able to see my 3 year old son follow the story with fascination and grow to love it as I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars nostalgia justified 18 Sep 2009
By Kindle Customer VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback
I bought this for my two and a half year old as I had it as a (slightly older) child and remember loving it. When I got it I was slightly disappointed and thought she wouldn't take to it - but I was wrong. She loves it - demands that I read it again and again and stands beside me when I feed the cat saying "no more than a spot - or something may happen, you never know what". And when we saw fish in a pond the other day she was delighted and shouted - "fish like otto. Too big for the vase".
