Book Description

Are you looking for your first trading system?

This book gives you a clear and a robust trading system that you can use regardless of which market (stocks, futures, or FOREX) or timeframe (day trading, swing trading, position trading) you trade.
Based on the fundamentals of price action, it is intended for beginners or for traders who are looking for a good method to start their trading career. Many trading books will tell you to 'trade with the trend', or to 'enter on pullbacks', but will not give you a specific or an exact way of doing so, leaving crucial details out. You can use the system in this book as your trading foundation.

The system includes:
- an objective way to recognize a high probability setup
- entry conditions
- exit conditions
- position sizing
- advice on borderline trades
- numerous trade examples and discussions
- tips on mistakes to avoid
...and much more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A useful and simple to understand trading system. 25 May 2014

I've only just read the book, but it gives a simple way to understand when a trading instrument is in a trend, or not in a trend.
Now it's got me curious, and I'm starting to look at real trading examples, to see how good I am at spotting similar trading situations.
I only wish it was a longer book, and that Peter Jones had spent more time on the different time frames that he is using, since most of his examples in the book appear to be for 5-minute charts.
But basically, it looks like a solid system, and it's easy to understand, and his high probability or money management trading rules are good. Or to use Peter's own word: They are "robust."
Good effort!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great hands-on trading manual! 12 May 2014
By bonita85 - Published on
This is a really good instruction manual for anyone who is trying to get into trading. I knew little about trading systems and was always curious to get into it. I was recommended to read through this book by P. Jones and it explains the basics fairly easily. I was able to follow the ideas and figure out questions I've had prior. The author actually explains how you can utilize the system he outlines to your advantages. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple yet powerful! 17 Mar. 2015

Peter delivers an amazingly simple yet easy to understand trading system suitable for both beginner and intermediate traders. Unlike many other trading books, this one is easy to read, easy to understand and the concepts can be implemented tomorrow. There's no fluff or fillers designed to make the book longer, just solid trading advice. Highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars A very simplistic system which in first principles makes sense ... 13 Oct. 2014

A very simplistic system which in first principles makes sense. It seems to be a very intuitive system however "the proof is in the pudding". So this needs to be backtested (but the world changes) or forward tested before using which is what I will do over the next few months.
