Format:Audio CD
I agree with the previous review in that this EP doesn't show of his true range and style. This EP is a good starting place, but it's probably worth seeing Sam live to really appreciate his talent. It is definitely worth getting so you can say you "were there before he got too famous!"

This EP is a selection of Sam's work to date, in preparation of his debut album due out later this year.
The songs are a range of rock/pop, electro acoustic and straight acoustic guitar work which demonstrate his range of musical influences and also the years that these songs have been written.
Best Friend, Moon and Blue Rose have been included in recent live sets that he has played recently and are probably more of an indication of what we can expect on the upcoming album, Best Friend is a good pop song, Moon has a style that reminds me of some Crowded House tunes and Blue Rose is a haunting ballad.
The other tracks are all of equally good quality including one of his earliest songs, Charlotte.
It's hard to define Sam's songs as they cover a range of musical styles, and maybe that's one of the strongest points of this EP, it is varied and vibrant and well worth an investment in.

Firstly, I agree with both statements below and I must say this cd is a excellent starting point, but you do not hear and see the full potential unless you see Sam Live!. From my personal view of seeing Sam on many Occasions I can tell you it is a truly and amazing preformance he puts on. The crowd takes a active part and listens and despite people not knowing the words they do there best to sing. All I can do is praise this album, I am looking forward to the next one already, but I know I will be waiting awhile.
This is a definate cd to buy, you will not be dissapointed.
