5.0 out of 5 stars Among 2013's Heaviest 3 Dec 2013
By HURBRET - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Vinyl|Verified Purchase
This album has been so extremely hyped in the world surrounding Southern Lord, and I started to think that it was going to be a disappointment. Upon first listen, however, it became apparent that Lumbar's first and only LP delivers some of the sludgiest and heaviest sounds possible, and without sounding forced. The bass is so loud it's like a cushion. The guitars are tuned low enough to communicate with certain whale species. And the vocals are perfect. These guys know when to distinguish between the need for screams and the need for cleans.
This is some excellent doom metal, and is highly recommended for anyone who's a fan of other like-minded bands on Southern Lord. My only complaint is that it is too short.

Also, the packaging is tight. The record is ORANGE.
