fee, fi, fo, fum, i smell the blood of an englishman.
The most famous words of this tale.
And they are missing!

This book should be called Jacks Brother and the Beanstalk. I mean, what gives? who do these people think they are, changing classic tales into something less. There is absolutly nothing wrong with the original text. It IS an english tale, about an english boy. And as an englishman i have no issue with the giant calling the boy english!!

i threw this book in the bin, and will buy the correct and better original...

I was reading this to my daughter and started saying the words "Fee fi Fo fum I smell the blood of an englishmen" Only to relise that is not what was written in this book, why do we feel the need to change words to classics.

First Favourite Tales - Fab series for 2 year olds

I bought this entire series to give as birthday and christmas presents, to my 2 year old daughter and to other children. They have been a massive hit. The illustrations are lovely and, like the Snuggle Up series, the way they are written with rhyme and repetition as a central theme make them irresistible to toddlers. My daughter loves these books and wants to read them again and again, and they encourage her to join in too. I really wanted to introduce her to some of the classic fairy stories and this is a great, updated, way of doing so. Highly recommended.

Bought this for my son to read to his little daughter, and was quite disappointed to see that it has changed since I used to read it to him, I am now on the lookout for the original (must be about 30 years old though)
