This author's best yet,

I've seen the heroine CHARLIE FOX move from an angst-ridden local crimefighter and women's champion to international personal-protection expert. If you like your heroines local and REAL then look at the earlier books,if you're looking for something on a trans-atlantic stage, this is as good as it gets.

Decent story, but a little predictable,

I was a little disappointed in this. Whilst the story itself was fine, it has been done so many times, with different carachters and locations. I found this was a bit like a "how to write a thriller" guide than an original story.Personally, I am surprised that any author would still try and use the hidden tape recorder on the goodie to catch the baddie.And the key carachters of Walt and his nephew are very weak. There are good points, Sharp can clearly write. I have not read the series (I thought this was the first one but apparently not), and she moves things along at a good pace. I just didn't find much here that made her stand out from other writers in a saturated catageory.

This is the fourth in the Charlie Fox series: after the events in the body-guard training school in Germany (Hard Knocks), Charlie goes to Florida to work with Sean on her first body-guard assignment. But things rapidly get out of hand (of course!) as her teenage charge is pursued by a raft of villains - and the lovely Sean disappears...
I love these book and can't believe they're not better known. Sharp writes brilliant action thrillers that never flag but which are leavened by superb characterisation and an intense emotional edge, especially in the relationship between Charlie and Sean. If you can, it's best to read these books in order, although I haven't managed to. This is another compulsive and addictive read - only dropping one star for the dearth of Sean throughout most of the book.
