This is a lovely collection of nursery rhymes. The text is clear and has an appealing a border of little pictures. The illustrations are so gorgeous they are worthy of framing. The spiral binding is reasonably strong, but the constant biffing by little fingers detached the cover on our copy very quickly. The cd has a good mixture of spoken and sung rhymes and the male narrator's voice is clear and pleasant - my children adore this book and return to it again and again.

I bought this book and cd for my 11 month old granddaughter and she loves it! The book is quite large but she sits on the floor and turns the pages herself, pointing to the pictures and cooing over the colourful illustrations. The book is quite sturdy but the spiral binding is now beginning to show signs of wear, but that doesn't matter, it is a sign of a well loved book! As for the CD, my little granddaughter has now learnt how to turn on the stereo and we are subjected to the nursery rhymes several times a day if we are not careful! I have to say, the voice of the narrator is quite monotonous if you listen to it too often, but it is not for us after all is it! Highly recommended for any young child, the rhymes are all well known, although some of the words do vary slightly in some of them. The pictures are bright and colourful and it is easy to hold the book and child on your knee while listening to the cd and looking at the pictures. Or you can use the book and cd on their own. Excellent value for money.

My son loves this book, but has also managed to remove the hardback cover from overuse. It is a spiral binding and with constant handling has come off quite easily. That said he loves this book, and has done since he was just a few months old. He is now 14 months old and is still coming back to it almost daily. Beautiful illustrations and the CD has a nice mix of songs.
