great first collection 23 April 2010
i didn't own any ballet DVDs before i got this one, but it is a great introduction to a lot of famous ballets and the quality is good and you can decide maybe which full-length ones you'd like to get on their own. Also the pictures inside the sleeve are nice!

A great introduction to several major ballet performances, it would make a great gift for children who are interested in ballet. Great pieces of dance included, i didn't want this disc to end!

My 6 year old daughter loves dancing and we have been avidly reading the Magic Ballerina series of books (Darcey Bussell) for some time. They mention a number of the popular ballets and this DVD allows you to see just a small part of these ballets. This is perfect for my daughter, who I'm sure would not want to sit through a whole ballet but gives her a feel for what the Magic Ballerina is seeing and dancing.
