I live in France and have a 3 year old daughter. I'd already started on French preschool books for my daughter before getting this one. What a difference!! Maybe it's the general outlook in Britain that's different th France, rather than this book in particular, but I found - unlike French publications - this book is far too difficult for a child of this age. I found myself rather crankily pushing her into writing the letters by herself as the book urges and losing any fun element that should and must exist at this age.
