I am afraid this converter cable did not work for me. When connected between my camcorder (a fairly old Sony) and my laptop I got the message device not recognised.

Good price.Fast delivery. Does what it is supposed to do ie connects video cameras etc to PC/Laptop at a fraction of the cost for manufacturer supplied cable.

Well does it work or not
I have had a quick look on the internet and most sites say a cable can't convert Firewire (IEEE 1394)to USB and you need to buy a PCI card.

this product is probably very good. Although i ordered it because this is what i was told i needed it will not work with my computer so i dont know what it preforms like

Did not work
Very prompt delivery but computer did not regonise the lead so unfortuatly the lead did not work. Maybe should have beed discribed better, as to what it should work with.

After sending the wrong lead I had to wait for the right one to be sent.
when the lead came it did not work, so it went in the bin. I give up now.
