Put Incubus and sevendust in a bowl mix it up put a little POD in and Pillar is what you get. Melodic vocals and some very original guitar work gives this band a unique and plesant sound. This album is a must have for lovers of soulful metal.

I remember how much I enjoyed these guy's first album, Above, and was totally delighted when I found out that they were well into producing this one. When I got it, I was stunned, the sound they achieve in this album is so much more mature, and developed than that of the last album. They have pushed hard to produce something that is amazing to hear and really rock your face off to, while staying true to the love they have for the Lord. The title track is amazing, and runs around the idea that if Sharach, Meshach, and Abednego could survive in the hands of the God of all creation, then so can all those that put their trust in Him. Echelon, screams out an extension to the point they made in the song Unity on Above, but now tells us to get out and fight for what's right. And Epidemic wouldn't be out of place in a major thriller blockbuster movie soundtrack. Still as heavy as they get, the words and emotional vocals Rob gives in Further, remind us that they aren't "all heavy", but have the understanding that this is as much a worship album, as a rock album. What can I say, it's an album that I can listen to at any time, and remember how close the love of the Lord is to me.

every song on this album is great. I strongly recommend this album to anyone who likes heavy rock or metal. The band are quite melodic, with some great guitar work and vocals. the songs are really emotional and are performed with feeling. The artworks great as well.
