5.0 out of 5 stars How to keep your kids happy for over an hour 15 Nov 2001
My 2 year old son loves this. There are 6 stories with plenty of variety and humour. Keeps adults entertained too. It's a pleasant change to see a kids video where the introductory music, titles and credits do not take up more time than the actual story. The choice of John Alderton to do the voices was inspired. In short, more intelligent than Noddy (not difficult!), less mind numbing than Thomas the Tank Engine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fireman Sam's BIG Video is a BLAST! 13 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase
I was lucky enough to be able to buy this 1999 videocassette brand new very recently and every episode was a delight! For a "BIG Video", you would expect a few more than just six episodes but the video is every bit as much worth buying! Features a selection of "Fireman Sam" episodes from the '80s and '90s. We have here Sam rescuing James in "Quarry Rescue", Bella Lasange almost missing her party at the cafe in "Home from Rome", "Steele Under Par" sees the commence of Officer Steele's retirement, Naughty Norman proves himself a hero in "Trevor's Boot Sale" but gets up to his old tricks again in "Brass Band" and - mamma mia! - Bella's cafe is flooded in "Lost Ring". There you have it! I'm now expecting "Fireman Sam's Biggest Video Ever" in the post, also in brand new. If you really want something long unavailable, therefore rare, in new, Amazon.co.uk should be the top of your list!
