Bought this for my 2.5 yrs old twin boys as their first scooter. They are mad about everything to do with fire engines and fire fighters so I thought they would love it. They did indeed, even if they could not yet ride it. They also loved the siren sound - which we hated! Somehow before buying we thought that the sound would just come on and off - no, it is a continuous fire engine siren, which goes on and on until you flick the switch on the underside - to protests from the kids!
On the plus side, the scooter was easy to assemble, is colourful, quite stable, and has a proper steering, i.e. you steer to turn as opposed to lean-to-turn as on tri-scooters with two front wheels. On the negative side, the scooter is not very well made - the side light cover was coming off and with every fall, the steering would go out of line (and this was just with light use in the living room by very small kids). There is no brake as on the scooters with two front wheels, although this in itself is not a major issue.
We feared that with heavier use outdoors, this scooter would simply fall apart so it was sent back.
