Wasn't sure whether to get a scooter with or without the hose but as there wasn't much difference in price, I thought I might as well get the hose too - but I would definitely not do this again if buying another.
The scooter is fine - easy to assemble, fairly sturdy, though you can't adjust the height of the handlebars.
But the hose attachment (which, of course, our son wants to play with now he's seen it) is very shoddy. The 'straps' to attach it are thin, short velcro strips which don't support the weight when it has water in it and dig into the child's shoulders when they don't fall off. If you attach the holder to the scooter, it's hard for the child to reach the handles and it has to go at a weird angle, which could be dangerous if the child fell, in my opinion (it sticks out at chest height). As soon as you put *any* water in it, the bottom of the hose attachment leaks, no matter how much you try to tighten it. In the end, we superglued round it to stop it leaking - but it still leaks. Sounds minor, but it means that if your child wears it, his back and legs are soaked in seconds; and if it's attached to the scooter, water is leaking in front of it, making it slippy to ride.
If you buy one, get it without the water pack or bin the water pack thing before your child sees it.
