5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best rock albums available! 4 Dec 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Not much more can be said regarding this album, other than buy it! Now! This is the band's debut album and received excellent reviews, especially in the States and Japan. Of course, hardly anyone's ever heard of them in the UK, because we seem to prefer music to get depressed or enraged to! Firehouse are still churning out albums today and survived the Grunge era that sounded the death knell for this kind of music in the UK. If you liked Bon Jovi cerca 'Slippery When Wet' and 'New Jersey' or Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' and 'Adrenalize', then buy this. The whole album consists of songs purely made for the concert arena. 'Overnight Sensation' stands alongside 'Livin' on a Prayer'as a signature song, while 'Love of a Lifetime' has got to be one of the greatest rock ballads ever written. I'm not kidding! The vocalist has a fantastic voice and hits even the most difficult notes effortlessly. The mixing is seamless too and makes for great listening in any environment. Like so many great rock bands, this album is easy to sing along to and would liven up even the most frustrating traffic jam. Buy this album, turn the stereo right up and by the end you'll be grinning from ear to ear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good 30 April 2006
Format:Audio CD
I read somewhere that Firehouse was the last hair-metal band to break through. And I have to say that this album is really really good. I bought it in 1990 when it was released and I still listen to it alot 16 years later...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent blend of melodic rock 18 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Firehouse are a remarkable rock band and this album has both melodic rock and slow numbers. Not a duff track in sight! This is their first album and I can highly recommend Firehouse - I have all their CD's!
