4.0 out of 5 stars Does a great job but a little pricey 23 July 2013

I'd give it 5 stars if the grill and extra sticks came with it. I really like the design and it is very well-built. I can see it lasting. I've done fires in it with kindling, sticks, pellets, and charcoal now. I really bought it for pellets but it could use a little adaptation there- it needs to have a grill for the firebox that holds the pellets- not just a choice of leaving the ash tray in place and then getting no ventilation. I ended up getting them to burn by using paper or kindling under the pellets so that by the time they were at the bottom there were lots of them and they kept burning. You can just about fry a couple of eggs on a cup of pellets- they burn fast.

I did steak in a wire basket over charcoal and that worked very well.

There is a grilling plate you can buy (two sizes; buy the larger) but that's an additional $10 where I think it should have been included.

With pellets or wood, you get a nice warm blazing fire. Keep feeding it and you have a campfire, but for coals, charcoal is probably better.

5.0 out of 5 stars great little stove 13 Aug 2013

before buying this i was not aware of all of the different configurations to support various flame sources so that was a pleasant surprise. So far i've only spent 3 days with this stove but it worked great with wood fire and an alcohol burner. it both assembles and disassembles easily and packs very nice and small. it is all steel so it is a bit on the heavy side and probably won't find its way into the ultra-lite packers bag but it works great for my camping/bug-out pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Folding Hinged Stainless Steel Camping Woodburning Stove. Versatile and Tough 21 May 2014
By Voiceover Guy - Published on Amazon.com
This is the original Folding Firebox woodburning folding stove. Designed and made in USA. It's a tank of a stove, which can be a good thing.

Sturdy, durable, well built, almost indestructible. Holds very heavy pots with ease. Stable. Can be configured several different ways for various conditions. Clever (brilliant) design. Totally different from most other woodburning stove designs.

Great for camping, also for disaster preparedness. Works just fine using twigs, bark, wood scraps, pretty much anything flammable. All that's left behind is white ash. Eco-friendly. "Leave no trace " philosophy.

Helpful videos and user tips on the maker's website. I love mine. Also makes a great backyard barbecue grill.

Firebox also offers other bundled stove-plus-accessories packages. Worth checking those out also.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Go To Stove. 14 April 2014
By S D Moody - Published on Amazon.com
I am a bit of a stove junkie. Alcohol stoves, Rocket Stoves, Wood gas stoves...you get the point. This is my favorite multi-fuel stove, it is a little work horse. Check out their videos on You Tube. Plus it folds flat to about 1/2 inch thick.
