It seems I have been on a never ending quest to find a source for TRUE factory specs on Firebirds, and I was hopeing that this book would be the one because I have heard other people talk about it... But after buyin the book I found a couple errors right off. They probably wouldn't bother the average reader, but for instance it lists there being a total of 1,500 1989 Trubo Trans Ams, when in fact there were 1,555 made. A small error, but it's there. Also, they underrated the HP of my car by 10hp (gggrrrrrr). If you are buying a Firebird, or just want to get an overview of the Firebird line up, this is a good book. It has design changes for each year, and RPO codes, and production numbers. I'm still glad I bought the book, even though it may have some errors (like all the rest of them it seems). Also, the book is almost pocket size, which was surprising at first but really is pretty cool so you can fit it in your glove box and read whenever.

Packed with information! 13 Oct 1998
By Joshua King - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As a webmaster for an all Firebird website, I've found that this book contains much of the information I've needed to help people decipher VIN codes and option codes as well as give out some of the lesser known facts about the Pontiac F-Body. As a Firebird owner and enthusiast, I recomend this book as a "must have".

1968 Firebird 400 Convertible 20 Dec 2001

Must have for any year owner.

Strictly a numbers book, however.

If you want descriptions and pictures, forget it.
But if you want prices, options and numbers for each year
this is it.

Decent overall, but could be better 14 Feb 2001

This book is basically the same as other "color" books, like the Corvette Black Book and the Camaro White Book. I was disappointed to see a lack of production breakdown information. While not all of this information may be available, it would have been nice to know how many cars were built in each color. The Camaro White Book does have this information for certain years as well as other option breakdowns. Perhaps the next edition can include this information. Much of it is already available on the internet and having it all in one location would be nice.
