Pleasantly surprised! I took a gamble as there were no user reviews for this item, but I'm glad I ordered.
Delivery was next working day.
I needed a budget 26" tv for our bedroom, and this is very feature heavy for the price.
First of all, the item description, and the finlux website state this is a 720p display, but the handbook says 1080p and the xbox will output in full hd 1080p too. Screen info will show 1080p @50hz.
Image quality is very good once you turn the brightness down, and most of the image processing options down to minimum such as sharpness. I needed to change the screen size to 'full' rather than 'auto' when using an hdmi input (xbox) to get the full image.
Build quality is reasonable, the tv is light weight as expected with an LED unit. The tv does not swivel on the base, which is annoying but it's light enough to lift up and move around. The brushed/satin finish makes the unit feel more expensive than it is, and it's a welcome break from the high gloss finish on most modern tvs.
It has 2 hdmi ports on the rear as well as a scart socket, digital audio out, aerial socket and vga port.
There are 3 x 3.5mm sockets on the side; headphone output, and the other 2 are used for audio/video input in conjunction with the supplied adapter leads. The usb port is located here too, which allows you to use the PVR function to record a show, or pause live tv.
The PVR function is easy to use, as are many of the features and menus on the unit. When recording a show however, you cannot watch another channel or source.
The remote uses fairly large buttons, features are easy enough to find and work out, but the programme guide button (EPG) should be much more prominent, I couldn't find it at first!mote is
