Product Description

The Finlux 26H6030 HD LED TV is the perfect smaller room TV thanks to a slimline design and stunning frame, plus with integrated Freeview - you'll be able to save space by throwing away your digital set-top box. Ideal for students or flatsharers, the 26H6030 will even allow you to pause, rewind and record live TV!

Key Features:

The built-in PVR function enables you to Pause, Rewind and Record TV directly onto any USB plug-and- play flash drive, or USB hard drive. Just simply insert your USB device into the TV to record or playback your favourite movies, TV shows and photos.

An integrated Freeview tuner will allow you to watch all your favourite shows from over 80 TV and 20 radio stations across the country - without the need for an additional set-top box.

Two HDMI inputs ensure you'll have enough ports to allow you to connect a couple of AV sources to your TV such as home cinema systems, games consoles, blu- ray players, set-top boxes or laptops. It'll allow you to switch between sources with a simple press of the remote too.

A USB Input enables you to play movies, music and photos directly from your USB drive. This really allows your TV to be the hub for all your home entertainment - making your own photos and videos even more enjoyable to watch. You'll be right at the heart of the action.

LED back-lit TVs create greater contrast ratios - making blacks appear blacker - leading to a sharper image. They are also slimmer, consume less power than similarly- sized traditional LCDs and are mercury free.

Its lightweight and slimline design ensures that you can easily move it from room to room and will create so much extra space when compared to older CRT models.

You can even use it as your PC monitor or attach your laptop to it. Just simply connect either a VGA or HDMI cable to your TV and you'll get to experience all your media via your TV.

This is an excellent TV purchased for my study, from Amazon, and very good value for money. I received it so quickly and it was easy to install which I was pleased about. It was in working order within 10mins. I can only speak as I find but we purchased a more well known brand for the bedroom and the sound was rather muffled. The picture of this Finlux is so crisp and sharp, the sound is clear and I would not hesitate to go for this make another time. Lets just hope it has a long life and adds to the impecable performance it is giving so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 2 Oct 2012
By CG
Pleasantly surprised! I took a gamble as there were no user reviews for this item, but I'm glad I ordered.

Delivery was next working day.

I needed a budget 26" tv for our bedroom, and this is very feature heavy for the price.

First of all, the item description, and the finlux website state this is a 720p display, but the handbook says 1080p and the xbox will output in full hd 1080p too. Screen info will show 1080p @50hz.

Image quality is very good once you turn the brightness down, and most of the image processing options down to minimum such as sharpness. I needed to change the screen size to 'full' rather than 'auto' when using an hdmi input (xbox) to get the full image.

Build quality is reasonable, the tv is light weight as expected with an LED unit. The tv does not swivel on the base, which is annoying but it's light enough to lift up and move around. The brushed/satin finish makes the unit feel more expensive than it is, and it's a welcome break from the high gloss finish on most modern tvs.

It has 2 hdmi ports on the rear as well as a scart socket, digital audio out, aerial socket and vga port.

There are 3 x 3.5mm sockets on the side; headphone output, and the other 2 are used for audio/video input in conjunction with the supplied adapter leads. The usb port is located here too, which allows you to use the PVR function to record a show, or pause live tv.

The PVR function is easy to use, as are many of the features and menus on the unit. When recording a show however, you cannot watch another channel or source.

The remote uses fairly large buttons, features are easy enough to find and work out, but the programme guide button (EPG) should be much more prominent, I couldn't find it at first!mote is

The Finlux 26"" Tv was easily assembled and set up took only a few moments. The picture quality is excellent although the sound is on the weak side. Overall a very good value for money product. I am impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars good value and not bad looking 7 Dec 2012

I ordered this to replace my ancient LG which died on me recently, Ideal for bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised it arrived a day after I ordered it and taking out of the box I was very impressed how thin it was. Thankfully it slotted into my small bedroom perfectly. The stand is a little cheap compared to your Samsung's and Sony's but it is of little worry. The picture is crisp and the colours vibrant for a TV of this standard. I also found the sound to be more than adequate. Perfect for a bedroom. For living room I would look to spend more money on an established name. The only major annoyance is the size of the remote which is enormous. Great TV with price tag to match.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disgracefull after service 8 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase
After sales service is the most shocking I have ever experienced, bought my son a 26" LCD tv with the built in PVR (Personal video recorder) for his x-box gaming & it lasted an hour, won't switch on, just a black screen, loads & loads of calls till some guy phoned back from the service asking me to push buttons on the bottom that didn't even exist, after argueing with him that they weren't there he relented & realised it was a different model, now they want to take it away to check it but no replacement until they rule out anything simple, bearing in mind this was my Sons X-mas present, there is no way on earth that I will ever buy Finlux again & I will make damn sure that none of my friends or relations do either....worst company I have dealt with ever......

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended! 13 Dec 2012

This TV has proved to be much better than I expected - I bought it (1 month ago) because it met my requirements for a wall mounted kitchen/diner TV with built-in Freeview at a sensible price. The picture quality, viewing angle, user interface and PVR (with USB stick inserted) are all excellent. Of the media facilities, I have only tried JPEG slide show so far which worked fine. Mounted on the wall, using a cantilever swivel arm, even the sound is perfectly acceptable. I would recommend this TV to anyone with a larger kitchen, diner, bedroom or small to medium sized living room.
