I don't want to be negative about this book: it does what it says. However, I wanted to review it so that others can make an informed choice.
It's hard sometimes to know what is meant by "easy" when looking at guitar books on the internet. It seems to cover quite a wide range of competence. Also, the term "simple" can mean several things.
In this book, the arrangements are simple to the extent of being really quite empty and sparse. For example, there is little by way of alternating bass - which is a "simple" form of arrangement: root to fifth, and occasionally third, although it can be tricky for a complete novice to master when played along with a melody line. By contrast with that type of simplicity, this book offers an approach whereby in some bars there is little more than a root note plus a melody note. And the arrangements don't swing: this is a very straight approach. Furthermore, the ornamentation is almost all on the G and B string, and often open.
There is nothing wrong with that, if it's what you're after, but I think it's important for customers to know that that's what they're getting. This is very much introductory level fingerstyle.
I hope that what my review will do is direct the right people towards this book; it is not meant as a knocking review in any way.
