Running times 55 minutes and 53 minutes respectively. 40 tracks in all covering the period from 1952 to 1956. Snapped up by Decca in 1953 his chart hits were many during the mid 1950s after which he became less of a chart hit and more of an all round entertainer. Always a confident performer with an easy style he excelled at romantic ballads and faster tempo novelty numbers. The sound quality is excellent as one would expect from the original Decca recordings (with the exception of "Never" and "Lorelei" which he recorded for the Melodisc label). Produced by Colin Brown. As child actor Richard Bryce(his birth name) he appeared in the films Jack's the Boy (1932) and Lord Babs (1932).
