‘Straightforward yet refreshingly opinionated.’

(New York Times)

‘Its clear organisation and generous use of pictures –including some ravishing ones of Tuscany- break up the text nicely.’

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By J. Heminsley on 8 April 2010
Excellent first 6 chapters displaying the extensive knowledge author has accumulated. Needs further referencing. Opinionated, but well justified as grey areas in the industry continue to emerge.

Photography excellent throughout capturing everything, but too person centric. Written coverage outside Tuscany just sufficient and viewed as almost an afterthought to widen the area title.

Good holiday read and reference book for Tuscany.

A good guide for someone wanting to know more about the tuscany wine Scene, pretty comprehensive. One small Point of critiscim, some important wineries are missing like Castello dei Rampolla

A cracking guide with great in depth information on all the significant producers from this part of Italy. By far the most useful refernce text I have found on this subject.

This is essentially a 'puff' for some of the major producers. Glossy, but not heavy on fact or evaluation of their products.
