Product Description

Steve Carter's follow-up to the # 1 kindle smash, 'Love Sex and Tesco's Finest Cava' is another, hilarious romantic comedy.

PRAISE FOR  'Finding Yourself in Seville':

'..another, clever, witty, take on love, by Bloke-Lit maestro Steve Carter..' Readaholic.

'This book is warm and witty and you won't want to put it down..'
La Estrella

'I would recommend it not just for the element of romance or the easy to digest syle of writing, but also because of the clear depth of research and knowledge that the author has put into writing it. The way in which Seville and the Sevillanos are described is perfect and honestly captures the essence of the wonderful city.' Three little Buhos Blog

Love, sex and romance in Seville, what more could you want?

Faced with the realisation that his stunning girlfriend has been having an affair, Andy McLeod takes a decision to radically change his life. An errant dart thrown at a map leads him to the beautiful Andalucían city of Seville where he encounters a disparate group of characters. There's hippy-chick Saffron, who only has eyes for Andy. Johan, a crazy Swede, whose liver surely won't last the year and who, despite stealing anything that's not nailed down, dispenses irritating philosophical advice when Andy least wants it. And if Johan's irritating Andy he's nothing compared to feisty, redhead Maggie, whose sharp mind, clever comments and sassy attitude have Andy all of a pickle.

That's not to mention the dark, brooding Sergio and Sevillian beauty Marilo who has ulterior motives. Andy becomes convinced that destiny has something incredible waiting for him in Seville.

But destiny doesn't always turn out in the way you think it will and life and love can sometimes force you to make some very tough choices.

Can Andy make the right choices?
Set against the cultural backdrop of Moorish Spain 'Finding Yourself in Seville' is a very funny, romantic comedy about finding love in unexpected places. It's also a novel with a very clever twist.

Steve Carter, an ex-workmate of mine with whom I bonded over our daft sense of humour and countless cafés and galletas (I have to add that this review is in no way coloured by this!), has triumphed again with this seamlessly constructed tale of Andy, who moves to Seville after a bust-up with his boss, to find his destiny. Set in the early 1990s, it's packed with expertly created characters who will make you laugh and perhaps even shed a little tear at times. Steve very cleverly alternates episodes of laugh outloud comedy with thought provoking pieces of pathos , all set against the vibrantly beautiful backdrop of Seville. The book is warm and witty and you won't want to put it down - I didn't! And there's a great twist at the end, which I just didn't see coming, but which works wonderfully well! This will appeal to guys and girls alike, especially if you have a keen appreciation of a fast-moving, comedic writing style and cleverly created characters who will stay with you for a long time. I can thoroughly recommend this - I loved it.

Andy, is twenty nine and has it all. Good looks, good mates, a snazzy apartment and a stunning partner, Rachel, who adores him... or so he thinks. When he finds out from Doug, his best mate, that Rachel has been bonking his boss his world falls apart. Down, but not out, Andy turns misery into money; he, sort of, blackmails the boss for a handsome sum and heads to Seville (why Seville? well that's where the dart struck the map). Although he has vowed to give his broken heart a complete break from beautiful women he finds Seville has distractions at every turn.

This is another, clever, witty, humorous take on love, by Bloke-Lit maestro Steve Carter, who's characters are never dull and never ever perfect human beings: Andy, for example, is sensitive and moody but always boyishly charming. Rachel has legs to die for but is a spoiled brat. Maggie is nice but sloppy, Doug is not the perfect pal Andy thought he was (can't say more about that character, would be too much information). Gay Sergio is a lovely, gentle, guy but an absolute tart.
They all end up in the same apartment which makes for some very funny scenarios.

If you like wit and humour in your reading material then you will love this engaging, moving tale. It will make you smile if you are male, female, straight, gay or anything in between. If you haven't read Steve Carter's first stroke of genius 'Love Sex and Tescos Finest Cava' then give that a go too. You will laugh your proverbial socks off.
I loved this and give it 5 stars. Mary

Really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were all so good and I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter to see what they were all up to. It was a light hearted story with lots of amusing parts. I haven't read any of the authors books before but I will look out for more now.
