Product Description

Product Description

Steve Carter follows the #1 kindle smash hit, ' Love, Sex and Tesco's Finest Cava ' with another, laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy.

"When you look in all the wrong places, you find all the wrong things."

Andy MacLeod's been looking in all the wrong places and finding all the wrong things. Worst of all, he's found his beautiful fiancé's been cheating on him.
So Andy decides to take a break from women in the beautiful Spanish city of Seville. Trouble is, Seville's not the easiest place to a break from them.
Even more so as Andy's already 'bumped into' his perfect girl. He just doesn't know it, yet. Let's just say it's because she's not his usual 'type'.
But if Andy's going to find true love then he's going to have learn to look for it in some very unusual places.

Finding Yourself in Seville is a laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy which is full of the author's trademark, angst-driven wit and features a wise-cracking, fiesty heroine who's definetly not your archetypal perfect 10.

Oh, if all that's not enough, it's also a novel with a great little twist.

Andy, is twenty nine and has it all. Good looks, good mates, a snazzy apartment and a stunning partner, Rachel, who adores him... or so he thinks. When he finds out from Doug, his best mate, that Rachel has been bonking his boss his world falls apart. Down, but not out, Andy turns misery into money; he, sort of, blackmails the boss for a handsome sum and heads to Seville (why Seville? well that's where the dart struck the map). Although he has vowed to give his broken heart a complete break from beautiful women he finds Seville has distractions at every turn.

This is another, clever, witty, humorous take on love, by Bloke-Lit maestro Steve Carter, who's characters are never dull and never ever perfect human beings: Andy, for example, is sensitive and moody but always boyishly charming. Rachel has legs to die for but is a spoiled brat. Maggie is nice but sloppy, Doug is not the perfect pal Andy thought he was (can't say more about that character, would be too much information). Gay Sergio is a lovely, gentle, guy but an absolute tart.
They all end up in the same apartment which makes for some very funny scenarios.
..................

If you like wit and humour in your reading material then you will love this engaging, moving tale. It will make you smile if you are male, female, straight, gay or anything in between. If you haven't read Steve Carter's first stroke of genius 'Love Sex and Tescos Finest Cava' then give that a go too. You will laugh your proverbial socks off.
I loved this and give it 5 stars. Mary

I basically read the first book, told Steve I liked it via Twitter and was recommended this one (by him). Well it was a very amusing read and I finished it very quickly. Withour giving away to much, I did particularly enjoy the gay bar scene. Would recommend to anyone else who is considering purchasing this.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great read!! 12 Aug 2012

I was looking for a Sevilla guide since I am going there for a few days in October and I came across this novel.

I must say I didn't like the cover that much but since it was was pretty cheap I read the book cover, and within seconds i was hitting the "buy now" button.

Having been a flatsharing student in a new city myself, I immediately fell in love with the book characters: Andy, food-stealing-Johan "el Sueco", and lovely Maggie.

It was the first book I read by Steve Carter but definitely not the last. I love the way he writes. I swear while I was reading I could picture and hear Maria screaming with her strong Sevillan accent :-)

5/5 stars to this book because it was beautifully written, funny and romantic but it also touched serious topics such as aids.

I think i'll have tapas for lunch and plan my trip to Seville.
Well done Steve Carter!
