If you are lost in love, business or life in general, 1 Mar 2006
This review is from: Finding the One in a Million (Paperback)
then this delightfully thoughtful book is for you. On the surface, it's a simple story of a lady looking for her 1 in a Million. Between the lines though are some wonderful ways to see life, seize the moment and make your life richer and your relationships more meaningful. Its message applies equally to your love life, your career and your passions.

Get this book and find YOUR one in a million!, 25 May 2006
This review is from: Finding the One in a Million (Paperback)
Jesvir has a written an intriquing, exciting and ultimately very satisfying book around a topic which is so important to people today - finding that one person who will supposedly give us ultimate happiness and with whom one can sail off into the horizon.
Through her ups and downs, the central character Manisha learns just what she wants in her life and what the "One in a million" would mean to her.
Using many anecdotes, examples and tips from her own journey of self development and growth, as well as that of the people in her life, Manisha guides the reader on their own inner journey of self-discovery.
The ending is very clever and leaves the reader in no doubts that it is up to us to decide what the "one in a million" means for us. It is all possible - like Manisha, we just need to be clear about what we want and more importantly, about who we really are.
A "must read" book - get this book and increase the chances of finding YOUR "one in a million".

Help yourself from Manisha's story., 29 Jun 2007
This review is from: Finding the One in a Million (Paperback)
I've wondered myself about writing a personal development-based novel, but there's quite a distance between thinking about it and actually doing it, which Jesvir Mahil has. Of course there's personal development in any novel worth reading because the characters move along, but in One in a Million the central character is taking self-development seriously and getting in touch with actual coaches. I find that interesting. I'm sure many will relate to the dilemmas that Manisha faces. Simple and straightforward it is, and how helpful that can be when one's own life seems confusing and options are not clear. Like any good coach, Jesvir helps clarify some options; she just does it in a story form which touches universals. Leaving the ending where it is highlights good coaching too as Manisha has to make her own decision. It's a novella, yes, and also a good self-coaching tool I'll suggest to clients.
