Pierre and Marie are returning to the US after two years in Japan. Pierre, a Naval officer, remains in Japan to finish his posting while Marie flies home. En-route, Marie witnesses the murder of another navy wife, which begins a cross-country game of hide-and-seek, as the murderers try to capture Marie and reclaim a USB drive Marie finds in her luggage. Pierre enlists George (from Frasier Island) to help find Marie, while Pierre's brother Andre also gets involved, along with Marie's sister, Lisa.
This is the second in a trilogy (the others are Fraiser Island and Inside Story), and in my view, is the weakest of the three. However, it is still a good read, although I would have liked to have seen more of Rachel (from Frasier Island).

Suspenseful and intriguing!

My wife was given this book for Christmas, but I nabbed it and finished it in just over 24 hours. I had a hard time putting it down, even with the romance aspect to the plot! I enjoyed the jet-setting, fast-paced plot that kept moving and weaved Marie's new found faith into her adventures. I haven't yet read Frasier Island, but am now hooked and plan to get to it soon.

Susan Page Davis has crafted another engrossing espionage novel filled with intrigue, faith and love. Pierre and Marie Belanger return from the first book in this series, Frasier Island together with George and Rachel Hudson. It is however, Pierre's brother, Andre and Marie's sister, Lisa who provide the romantic spark in this novel. While their life long angst with each other was over a little too quickly, their relationship is both fun and appealing. The dramatic tension Marie feels as she tries to outrun her assailants is excellent and Pierre's despair palpable. Finding Marie is a wonderful addition to any romantic suspense devotee's bookshelf.

Get ready for the ride of your life when you read Finding Marie by Susan Page Davis. Young and still fairly naïve, Marie Belanger heads to Maine ahead of her husband Pierre, who remains in Japan to complete one last secret mission before he can join her. When she lands in California, she witnesses a murder and has to run for her life. She leans on God to know who to trust as she crosses the country on everything from bicycle to hitchhiking to truck beds. She knows that she will feel safe if only she can reach her family in Maine. Every time she contacts Pierre, someone comes after her. Who can Pierre trust while he's Finding Marie?
