this book is definately worth reading. if you want to be inspired, to feel that hope can never run out and to learn that it should not run out then you need to read this book. It is one of the best books i have read and one of the few that made me cry. This book will touch you and teach you the knowledge you need to know about life! It's about a little boy who had to search for his identity to find who he really was, he had to fight the world which was against him and fought till the end and won. I wish i could be like Antwone and would like him to know that i cried for the little boy i loved and adored the little boy as he asks: "who will cry for the little boy?". may i also recommend the movie, you must see that too!!!!

This book is superb! I found it distressing, heartbreaking, inspiring and uplifting. Antwone's experiences prove that no matter how bad you think things are for you, chances are there's someone else for whom things are far worse. The book evoked such powerful emotions in me, I was angry and upset for him and that was made all the more poignant by the fact it isn't a work of fiction. I cried more than once (usually on the train which was embarrassing!) but I also smiled a lot too.
Antwone Fisher is a remarkable person, an incredibly gifted writer and an inspiration to everyone. I can't wait to see the film now!

excellent 28 April 2004
Format:Paperback
this book is amazing , after reading this i watched the film and it isequally amazing,
i am not saying what this man went through was goodor is a entertaining story but this shows you that there is a person whohas been through a very bad peiod of his life (40years of it) and stilllives happily and has kids.
this man now enjoys the finest values in life but has paid a high pricefor his happiness.
i dont think i could have lived through child abuse in nearly everypossible way and to not even know who your family is .
i must ratethis out of five a 5 because it is a remarcable story
