Product Description

Product Description

Over 40 years ago, on windswept and barren sand dunes in the far north east of Scotland, a miracle was occurring. The most wonderful plants, flowers, trees and organic vegetables were growing to enormous sizes in a small plot around a thirty-foot caravan trailer inhabited by three adults and three children living on 8-a-week unemployment benefit. Guidance by God and absolute faith in the art of manifestation led them to this apparently unlikely place to create a magnetic centre which, they were told, would draw people from all over the world. Their discovery of how to contact and co-operate with nature spirits and devas made the seemingly impossible possible. The Findhorn phenomenon had begun. Today, that same caravan stands in tribute to the pioneering faith of its former residents, amid a thriving village housing hundreds of people from all over the world; alongside an organisation recognised internationally as a leading centre for spiritual learning and surrounded by innovative and ecological businesses. The garden has expanded and spawned a huge organic farming initiative feeding hundreds of people. And all this because of the commitment and dedication of those three founders, Eileen and Peter Caddy and Dorothy Maclean. The Findhorn Community is a living demonstration of what can come about when man co-operates with nature and the beings of higher worlds; when people are united by a common goal based on social, spiritual and ecological values.

I accidentally came across this book years ago and have since given it to several friends. The story of how this garden came to be on the cold coast of Scotland is truly miraculous. You can visit there today. Eckhard Tolle and many others have gone there to connect and teach in one of the most peaceful and beautiful places on this planet.

I've known about Findhorn for more than 30 years. This book brought the
story to life and inspired me to do a garden this summer with similar
good results.
Well written, lovely photos, and inspiring both as a spiritual and faith
book as well as a nature and garden book.
Recommended without reservations.

Go to Findhorn for under twenty dollars! 7 May 2012

If you are interested in this book, then the idea that "what we give our attention to draws it into our life" will likely not be a new concept for you. I have known about Findhorn since I was a teen some twenty plus years ago, and I have lived in communities like unto it, so had almost decided to 'do without', even as I create my own personal Findhorn for my family and allies. I try to keep myself on a budget for 'extras', and just wasn't sure I should "indulge". I am so glad I did. The windchimes are on the way, the organic soil is being cultivated, and ... this book is my new friend. Sometimes it is so nice to have a friend.

It is not just the words that state over and over again the truths that are as a soft rain upon the new creations of our lives that we plant, tend, and our responsible for each day, but the quality and purity of the message that makes this book important. Imagine a wonderfully written song. Two people can sing it. Same exact words. But when the right soul sings it, there can be a world of difference. The founders of Findhorn were the right souls and you can so easily hear their song as you read this tomb.

Yes, while going to Findhorn is not to be missed for those so inclined, this is your opportunity to have it brought to you at a magical price. If you think it might be right for you, don't hesitate, it is a treasure.

All the Best,

-Sierra
