Product Description

Review

It is written in plain language and contains many practical examples. --Kybernetes, volume 35 issue 9, 2007

Product Description

Finance for IT Decision Makers covers those aspects of finance relevant to IT professionals in both business and non-commercial organizations who make or influence decisions about IT. Many 'IT' people don't like 'finance' very much. At best it leaves them indifferent; at worst they just wish it would go away. 'Finance' is the thing that has incomprehensible jargon and charges budgets with costs that were never incurred. Finance for IT Decision Makers throws light on to the twilight zone where these two disciplines meet. Assuming no prior knowledge of finance, it takes the reader step by step through each IT-relevant financial topic.

Great book 12 Dec 2006
By Olly
Format:Paperback
If like me you have a passing understanding of capex, npv etc but deep down you know you're bluffing it then this could well be the book for you.

I read it from cover to cover (took about an elapsed day spread over a few weeks) and found it readable, as interesting as finance can get...., and able to cover all the key areas of IT finance without going into unnecessary depth.

Worth giving it a go.
