Book Description

"You'll find Faith in the clock shop," Peter Reed says.

Daniel has a list of things he wants to do before the clock strikes twelve on December 31st.

1. Get a tattoo
2. Ride a horse-drawn carriage in the snow
3. See a Broadway play
4. Buy hot chestnuts from a street vendor
5. Eat a one-pound burger at Rocko’s
6. Drink hot chocolate on a bench in the park
7. Fix my watch

Daniel's watch stopped working when he lost all his men, his leg, and his hope in Afghanistan. A chance encounter at Reed's Tattoo Parlor leads him to Faith, a redhead with the prettiest green eyes he's ever seen.

Daniel intends to meet his deadline before the clock strikes midnight, and Faith sets out to help him. But she is goodness and light, and he’s not ready to let her warmth shine on him.

Faith takes care of her aging grandmother and knows how precious life is. But can she help Daniel realize it before it's too late? She has less than twenty-four hours.

Tick tock. Tick tock.

3.0 out of 5 stars not as good as the other books in the serise 23 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The problem with this series is that the author seems to have run out of ideas for distinguishing her characters which is getting very annoying - all of the females have the same character trait of biting their lower lip and sometimes the dialogue verged on cheesy (specially Pete and his declarations of love for Reagan).

All of the books need proof reading as they all have spelling and grammar mistakes.

However, Tammy Falkner is a great writer, I think that maybe she needs to take more time between books to work on her characters

I'm loving this series and although the reed brothers are mentioned in this book it's a different story. They are not the lead characters but are linked to them. In this book we learn a bit more about Henry - Emily and Logan's door man and his family now that his wife is back. We meet his granddaughter faith. Who becomes friends with a fallen army solider Daniel. They both have issues they need to come to terms and deal with but they have a great story to follow. Please be aware if you read on you may have the story spoiled but it's still worth reading.

This book is based around New Year's Eve and Daniel has one last bucket list before he wants to end his life. Daniel is suffering from PTSD after losing his team and leg in a explosion in afghan. He starts his bucket list in the reed tattoo shop and meets Pete paul and Friday. On his list of things todo is fix his watch that hasn't worked since the loss of his leg. He has no family left and he lost his men and feels like time stopped for him. It is a great story of survival guilt.
Pete and Paul suggest then Henry and faith can fix his watch so Pete takes him to them. Daniel falls asleep and a sofa while faith fixes his watch. She then asks that she help with his bucket list as she has one of her own, however her day is more about forgetting her husband.

Faith is living with her grandfather and nan. She meets Daniel and try's to help with his bucket list when she can't fix his watch. What Daniel don't know is 2 years on this very day she lost her husband and wants to forget.
After a day out around New York. Daniel drops faith home to go do what he planned on doing at midnight. He tells faith he wants to kiss her but she tells him unless he will be there tomorrow and the day after not to.

Every single one of the books in this series has been a winner for me. They are so real and written with so much empathy and respect for the subject matter, that you're completely drawn in to the story, the characters and their lives. This is the way to write a story in my opinion. I'm going to be gutted when they come to an end. I've become sick and tired of late of reading very mediocre or downright terrible books, a lot of which are in a series. I want this series to go on and on and on...that says a lot, as I've tried to avoid books in a series, as I've have found that the quality is either utterly abysmal to start with, or deteriorates exponentially...not so with this series.
Thanks to the author for sharing her talent and for not compromising on the quality. Extremely well written...keep em coming please :)

I found this book to be a very good read. Sad in places and joyous in some. About a poor man who is suffering from PTSD and has lost a lef and has other injuries from an IUD in Afgahistan. He meets a young girl (read the book to find out how) and she is also going through a heartache - lovely read and would recommend

I have read all (The Reed Brothers) books all four of them and have thoroughly enjoyed all o them. Four young men with no parents for guidance whose love for each other shines through in every book, equally finding the women of their dreams, let's hope they all do because they all deserve the best.As they are kind to everyone around them and always ready to help the unfortunate. Great stories, looking forward to reading more from the brothers in the future .
