This book tells the tale of a sports journalist who goes on one last holiday with his dying father: a holiday which encompasses their joint passion: golf. They travel round lots of the old courses in Britain and there are many poignant moments in the book as the father remembers his time in the Uk during the War and the son learns things he never knew about his father. The father is a great character and I'm afraid to say that I did cry at the end. Overall, a worthwhile read for those who are interested in all the famous, and not so famous, golf courses, but also a book that makes you appreciate your family.
