Product Description

Crystal Palace versus Manchester United. The semi-finals in this year's competition had created an unprecedented amount of goals, and the final was not going to be a goal shy affair. The replay, however, was resolved by a single goal.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the final! 21 July 2008
This DVD is a great disappointment, the front cover and spine do not tell the story, claiming a recording of 'the 1990 FA cup final'. In fact it is the replay which is presented in full here, not a patch on the first 3-3 game. Yes the six goals are included as a 'bonus' but the complete match recording is that of the replay, a turgid and uninteresting affair.
The disc should have been the other way around with highlights of the second match and full coverage of the first game as in the original VHS tape. This is surely close to trades descriptions act territory. Only buy if you particularly want to see the replay.

I bought this DVD hoping to re-live that glorious sunny day when Crystal Palace led Man U 3-2 with 8 minutes of extra time left. Ian Wright had come off the bench to score two great goals to give us the lead and Steve Coppell was thirty yards from me (I had Gordon Brown's ticket near the Royal Box!) seeking to consign his former team to defeat (and possibly Alex Ferguson to managerial oblivion). Sadly Mark Hughes scored an equaliser and this thrilling game had to be replayed. That match was niggly, disappointing and not a patch on the first game. So which appears on this DVD? Yes, you guessed. The replay which really was truly forgettable!! A bit like this DVD in fact. At least you get to see the goals from the 'real' final! Avoid unless you are a die hard fan!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as advertised, 26 Dec 2009
By Jac
I bought this for my partner for Christmas who is an avide Crystal Palace supporter,I was bitterly dissapointed as it was the reply not the 3-3 draw of the original game as advertised.I would never have purchased it if I had realised,a waste of money.
