While I know the games cover has been confirmed for the american version, I'm just hoping to god they might change it for the european copy.

I mean, who decided this would be the box-art, and did the person drawing it have only a vague idea of how the characters looked?

Feel free to point out your own issues with the art. These are just a few I noticed.
- The Hulk seems to look more like an angry jolly-green-giant who is really struggling to drop one.
- Ryu face doesnt look normal, like he's been western-ised.
- Chun-Li's face too, not only does she seem to have a larger forehead, but also quite an angular chin.
- Morrigen, just doesnt look right at all, looks less like a seductress and more like someone who's had one too many.
- Amaterasu (The white wolf) looks more like someone has just taken a drawing of any old wolf and just put streaks of red paint on it.

Just feels really poor, especially when you had artwork like this when the game was being shown off earlier this year;

And this, which seems set to be the collectors edition cover;

I'd be happy to see the cover be the final image Dave Wilkins has produced: http://dave-wilkins.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d37lswb

If anything, the steelbook version is far superior. He's an artist on DeviantART too. - http://alvinlee.deviantart.com

Ah yes one of the Udon crew you're right his work is far and away better, its a shame the booklet and the CD still use the current artwork.
