Product Description

This set includes the following three distinguished works from aaclaimed director Takeshi Kitano Takeshis (2005) Beat Takeshi lives a busy, and sometimes surreal, life of a show biz celebrity. But his blond lookalike names Kitano, a shy convenience store cashier, is still an unknown actor waiting for his big break. After crossing paths with Beat and a series of frustrating auditions, Kitano seems to mysteriously fall into a fantasy state highlighted by aspects of Beat s real life and violent onscreen persona. Zatoichi (2003) Takeshi Kitano directs himself as a blind warrior whose humble façade disguises his prodigious skills as a master swordsman in this dazzling thrilling tale of swordplay and adventure set in 19th Century Japan. Dolls (2002) Cult director Takeshi Kitano weaves together three visually stunning and deeply touching stories of undying love inspired by traditional Bunraku puppet theatre.
