4.0 out of 5 stars Film-Making: All You Need to Know 14 May 2009
By q.cool
A short and simple book which contains all the essentials necessary to get you thinking (and possibly started) on your film. It's a no-nonsense introduction to filming. If you want to read more afterwards there are other substantial tomes available.

4.0 out of 5 stars Above average book for the absolute beginner 17 Sep 1999
By Rolf M
This is would be a good book for the absolute beginner as it explains very thoroughly what is to do in the process in making a film.
The illustrations in this book are a cartoons, but are very clear in their illustrations.
The book goes from step one, borrowing a camera from a rich uncle and to going through the end credits properly, making sure no one is forgotten.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good grounding 12 July 2012

If you need a very basic understanding of film making then this is the book for you,
It covers all the usual things like camera angles, types of camera's, basic editing etc and leaves the in depth stuff for other books to deal with,
This would serve as a good grounding tool for kids or anyone just starting out in film making.
Nicely and clearly set out and explained in plain english.
