Product Description

Review

"This elegant, user-friendly book clearly provides the photo-chemical information necessary for the photographer to be in control of his or her black and white film developing. I cannot praise the writing and design of The Film Developing Cookbook highly enough." - Journal of the Print World

"...this is a very important publication for every fan of the darkroom. You'll learn huge amounts of stuff about photographic processes."

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Peter Williams on 17 July 2009
Format: Paperback
Great stuff, years of collective experience in here, all the nitty gritty theory and practical considerations stuff laid out in a logical and clear way. Especially helpful if you just want to shoot photographs but care about quality, but don't want to spend hours evaluating options. It fills the gap between bare bones manufacturers data sheets (and claims) and trawling through "forum world" piecing together knowledge. Highly recommended.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Darina Gromyko on 5 Feb. 2010
Format: Paperback
The book is a unique guide and manual for those who is interested in film development. After reading this book you will easily decide which film developer and fixer are suitable in your special case. Besides, you will understand the principle of film development and what are the components in developer and fixer, the information hardly provided by photochemistry producers.
Highly recommended!
