This DVD plays on my U.S. DVD player,

I bought this DVD on PAL Region 2 format and for some reason it plays on all 3 of U.S. DVD players in California. THANK GOD!!!! This is a great DVD!!! The Boomtown Rats were never big over in the States. They only had a minor hit over here with "I don't like Mondays", so that's the only promo video I had ever seen. All of the promos were pretty cool. The Bonus features on this DVD are awesome. All of it was new to me, so I was thrilled. The only negative on this DVD is the live show that features a horn section, which in my opinion killed The Boomtown Rats. Now if you want to see a The Boomtown Rats at their best live check out the 1978 show at Hammersmith. I would've given this DVD 5 stars, but I took off 1 star for the Horn section.

This DVD, which is actually called "Someone's Looking at You: On Film 1976-1986" has all fifteen of their promo videos, a live show from their In the Long Grass tour and extras such as TV appearances and news items. The concert is a good one. It is built around the sound of the last album. I like the horn section and think that it fills our the sound nicely. The promos are well worth watching and the extras are quite fun. A must buy for all Boomtown Rats fans and worthwhile for the merely curious.

There is some wonderful live footage of the band from around 1977. Incredible stuff and amazing to see the band perform so well at such an early stage in their career.
