2.0 out of 5 stars The most interesting parts of the story were neglected, 11 Dec 2000

This review is from: La Fille De L'air [VHS] [1993] (VHS Tape)
This film is based on a true story of a woman who "rescued" her husband from prison via helicopter. The movie is too hung up on staying true to the story. A great deal of it involves her visits to the prison and her unhappy husband pacing around his cell. The more interesting aspects were why the woman was drawn to this criminal in the first place. Interestingly, her brother was a criminal too (that's how she met the husband). The mother was still alive and interacted a lot with her children. I kept wondering what kind of mother she was that inspired her whole family to take up a life of crime, but that wasn't answered. Overall, it reminded me of a television movie...somewhat shallow...where it could have been an interesting exploration of some disturbed psyches. However, Beatrice Dalle is a joy to behold as always.
