This book tells pretty much all that is in the film, although it cannot show the fabulous acting skills of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The descriptions that are used are almost there in the intense scene setting and what only takes a second in the movie takes about half a paragraph, and this makes it as enjoyable as the film. I go on about the film, but that is only because I saw the film before I read the book. This book is something, that you could read over and over, without getting bored. With each reading you realise another twist in the story, and for those avid watchers of the TV series you're in for a treat as it does give some conclusions to past quirks in stories, making you think, "ah-ha! That's what they meant!" I 100% recommend this to both watchers and those who are new to the whole concept of conspiracy in the American government. It makes you slightly paranoid about the authorities and that is half the fun of it!!!
