I've owned this keyboard about 2 months now and I'll probably update the review at the 12month point.

Firstly, I've not owned a mechanical keyboard before this and I've mainly used low cost standard keyboards.
Pros:
+Solid construction. There's no flex where there shouldn't be and it feels really durable.
+Very small desk space taken up. The keyboard has less than 1cm between edge of the keys and edge of the keyboard, it couldn't be much smaller with the same layout.
+Proper sized layout (for a 10-keyless). None of that weird placed arrows and odd shaped key business.
+Light key action. The keys were lighter than I expected, but there's still just about enough tactile feedback. Although the tactile feedback is very subtle.
+N-key rollover. With the ps2 connection it allowed any number of keys to register at once.
+Simple clean design. The logo is stylish, minimal design, clear font/size, the LEDs are subtle enough.
+Feels nice to type on.

Cons:
-The keyboard is heavy for it's size. This is to be expected with this kind of keyboard.
-The vertical height is a little higher than standard.
-Sort of noisy out of the box. (I'll get onto this later)*
-Registers key presses at 50% of total key depth. Some may like this, but in my opinion it's wasted key travel. (Again, I'll get onto this later)*
-Expensive. Not had it long enough to say if it's truly worth it.

*I was aware that mechanical keyboards tend to be more noisy and I listened to samples of the keyboard before I brought it.
I found that people did what they call an "o-ring modification" to solve 3 things in 1) Reduced noise 2) Reduced maximum key depth 3) Soften key landing.

I bought this keyboard to use in my office as I do quite a bit of typing. It is a real pleasure to type on. This model has 'tactile' keys (also known as Cherry brown switches), which mean they give a small amount of physical feedback when pressed lightly, but they do not have the 'clicky' sound of Cherry blue switches. I went for the brown switches as the blue ones are quite noisy and I didn't want to disturb my office colleagues. This keyboard is a little louder than the regular cheap keyboards found in most offices, but I haven't had any complaints from colleagues yet. The design is very plain (ideal for an office) but the construction quality is superb, with a solid metal chassis. I have little doubt it will give many years of reliable service.

£120 is a high price to pay for a keyboard, but if you do a lot of typing then treat yourself to one of these - your fingers will thank you for it!

I'm a software engineer and bought this keyboard as I was dissatisfied with the keyboard the Company gave me (an HP standard keyboard).

There are hardly any words to describe it; its simply amazing. I make noticeably less typos while coding, my fingers last a lot longer before getting tired. Whenever I need to go to a colleague's computer, the difference is very very obvious; I can't possibly go back to my previous keyboard. Also, all those that tried my keyboard are now envious.

The absence of a numpad can be annoying at first, but if you're right-handed, having the mouse that much closer to you makes quite the difference in terms of comfort. With my previous keyboard, I was constantly hitting the keyboard while using the mouse.

The only downside of it is the extra noise. Personally, I like the key activation feedback, especially when using the hotkeys on consoles, but I imagine it can become unnerving to others around me.

It is clearly heavier than one would estimate for it's size, but I find that positive. The keyboard does not slide on the table unless I apply a reasonable amount of force.

The keyboard looks and feels very sturdy, but I have yet to spill coffee on it, therefore cannot comment on it's liquid resistance.

Excellent typing feeling! The brown Cherry MX makes some noise while typing but not too much either, so its ok. The keys register very fast since you dont have to push the keys till the bottom, the typing feeling is very smooth but you can still feel when the key is registered. For me this is the perferct switches for gaming and typing! But ofcourse I haven't tried other types and its also very dependent on what you seek. With some search on youtube comparison videos you can surely find the type that suits you. The PS/2 connection trully accepts all the keys pushed together btw.

Used to have a Logitech G110. I couldnt imagine that there could be something better, now I can't imagine how did I make such a bad purchase by bying it. Now with this mechanical keyboard I certainly can't go back to anything else, typing on cheap quality keyboards is just so inconvenient for my fingers now.

I installed the Filco Majestouch TenKeyLess UK Keyboard as a replacement for my existing (cheap) keyboard, using the PS2 port on my Asus P8Z77 motherboard computer from Wired2Fire. It had a problem in that it would not work during the boot up. After some experimentation, the problem was resolved by hot-plugging into a spare USB3 port, whereupon Windows loaded a (new) driver automatically, and after a restart the keyboard now works at all times including boot time. Cannot really understand what happened!

Otherwise its a great keyboard, albeit too expensive, and reminds me of my first IBM PC keyboard. Great to use.
